More a barn come stable than a home, but needs must! No windows or fireplace made for a dark cold space, the animals who shared it providing warmth. Such a structure could be made using just an axe and an awl, a saw being helpful. No iron nails or other fittings were used, tree nails, wooden dowels, being used to hold it together along with twine or rope. Note the bark is left on most of the timbers, reducing labour.
