This work of art by John Isaacs was commissioned by the Science Museum in London for the 'Genetic Choices?' exhibition. The exhibition encouraged debate about issues surrounding genetic testing, particularly for inherited diseases. The sculpture shows the artist's interpretation of the new genetics. The piece consists of a life- like baby covered in black barcode marks, suspended in glycerol to mimic the conditions in the womb. The exhibition ran from 17 January to 13 April 1997.
